About Me

I enjoy reading, watching, and listening to anything stimulating to me which might be historical, political, musical,satirical, spiritual, a variety really. I enjoy documentaries, foreign films, comeday/drama,most anything intrigueing,like a really interesting man. Outdoor activities like walking, riding bicycles,beaching,picnics, are great as well as 'roaming' museums,galleries,shows, and little 'nook and cranny' shops.Personal preferences are being vegetarian(but don't expect another to be)for the past 18 years,buying locally as much as possible,not being hurried all the time, and handmade or homemade(items or food).
I have goals to travel globally,make it to the 'wild west'of America,and to as many islands as possible.All of this to say that a man with some financial finess would be great,too. I guess I beleive that "less is, or can be ,more." But am also not a 'settler."
Philososphy of life: Acknowledgement and respect of God,self,and others, giving honor to each as appropriate. Music is stimulating to all of the senses,(except country), esp. jazz/bluesy, alternative,instrumental, classical, indie, ethnic, and some bluegrass mixed in.
I am conservative in some things, liberal with others. If you ask, I might tell.
Addendum: If you choose to curse as well as drink more than 1 drink more than 1-4 times a week, then you're probably not who I am looking for.

First Date

I would love for a first date NOT to be dinner or dinner and a movie, unless it is in Venice,the alps in Switzerland, or somewhere 'out of this world.'
It could be a mini-meal or wine and cheese and bread,or even just dessert.
Talking and getting to know each other is pretty important but not just a factual review.(like you're getting now)Body language,what's comfortable and not,physical attraction and chemistry play their parts.
Meeting where we can both walk and sit is excellent. Something a little different is what I like.If distance is an issue, both flying or driving halfway to meet sounds good,and maybe in a place neither have visited. Planning is easily done for that now.
Or even if we live nearby, meeting where neither has been could be fun. Guess you can say I have some 'adventure' in my blood. Please note I said 'some'. If there's lots of chemistry, it may be wise to add some time to the current event;rigidity is not adventurous.Some plans are great; every minute w/ out time for free play or willingness to change is not.I could do a boat ride, enjoy a beautiful vista, do an artsy/craftsy or musical event,but,sorry guys,going to 'fish for fish' is not gonna work for me on the first.
