 | I was new to the online dating scene, and began talking to a few guys daily. Looking for any potentials and weeding out the guys who you know really are "looking for long term." One night I was laying in the middle of the living room floor and a got a message from a guy named Michael. His message read, "so according to plenty of fish, we are supposed to get married, would you like to chat sometime?" His profile was VERY vague, and I was almost not interrested. He had no picture and the information was minimal. He asked to chat through facebook and I saw his profile picture. As my mom said, "Oh, not sure about him... he looks like a gangster." Well, to my surprise he was no ganster. :-) We started talking on POF, then through texting, then on the phone, then SKYPE, and then the meet and greet! At the time we first met he was out of state for work, it wasa exciting talking and getting to know him. At the same time I was still on plenty of fish keeping my options open... went on a few dates. VERY nice guys, but just wasn't a true connection. I've always been the kind of girl to feel bad to let someone down... but I've learned that I owe it to myself to get what I deserve and to not settle for someone that I didn't connect with. Well, Michael is amazing! When we finally met in person at the end of June it was like we have known eachother forever! After 2 weeks of dating, a friend asked if we have been together for years... NOPE! 2 weeks! My family adores him and he just fits in perfect. It's been almost 2 months and I can't wait for more... For the first time in my life, even after being in "SERIOUS" relationships, I can truly say this man loves me back.  | James messaged me on PoF and we instantly hit it off, we found we had the same sense of humour, and, more importantly, we shared the same values. He came and met me in Luton 3 days after we'd first started chatting and what was going to be a simple drink turned in to a dinner followed by a game of bowling and more drinks. The next day he was back in Luton so we could spend more time together. After 8 months I had to move for work, so James upped sticks and moved too, changing his job and his entire life on the basis of an 8 month relationship. 5 months after that he proposed, and (obviously) I said yes! We are now in the midst of wedding planning for a winter wedding at the end of 2011...thank you PoF for helping us to get together! |
 | Courtney and I, Jeremy Moore met on this website and we could not be happier with each other. We literally complete each other. She knows how to keep me in line and understand me when others were not willing and I understand her and make her feel so happy. I am more in love with her than I have ever been with anybody in my entire life. We are getting married on October 2nd, 2010. We both are looking forward to that date. One crazy thing though is that when we told each other where we lived, we didnt believe each other. We literally live right across the street from one another. My house being on the main road and hers in the development across the street. Not even two tenths of a mile apart. I guess she really was just right in front of my eyes the whole time but thank you Plenty of Fish for bringing me the best thing that has ever happened to me. |
 | We met on Plenty of Fish in April 2007. We were married on March 26th this year in Vegas! We had a party back here in Thunder Bay last weekend to celebrate with friends and family. By the way my girlfriend also met a fellow on POF last year and they were engaged this summer...their wedding is this fall. Yeah Plenty of Fish! |
 | We met on this site last Sept. We both knew what we were looking for. Neither of us was looking for a "relationship" as much as someone to spend time with. Immediately after the first date however we became inseperable. There was never a conversation about "where is this going?". I think we both knew we'd found the person we'd been hoping and waiting for. We could not be more right for one another. We laugh constantly, we have a great time. We are able to handle adversity as partners, and have already faced some big issues this year, including a job loss. We got thru it though! We both have found our best friend! I haven't believed in soul mates since I was a teenager. Now with Chris I do believe in such a thing. Since we were married last weekend, I now get to spend the rest of my life with my soul mate. We are one of 3 couples we know that have been married in a year. All 3 couples met on POF. Thank you POF!! |
